Blackbird is a specialty coffee spot on the Oudegracht, but not the kind where you camp out with your laptop for hours. There's no indoor seating at all. You grab your coffee to go, or you take a seat outside on their bench and watch the canal do its thing. The coffee itself is the main event. Most of what they serve is organic and sustainably sourced, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options if you want something to go with your cup. They also do a solid decaf, processed through a sugarcane method that keeps the flavor intact. One thing that stands out: they're actually honest about the whole to-go thing. They'd rather serve you in porcelain or glass if you're staying, and only use FSC-certified cups when you're really taking it with you. No greenwashing, just a small coffee bar doing it right.
