History

In 1918 werd Helios opgericht, dus de vereniging bestaat al meer dan honderd jaar. Daarmee is Helios een van de oudste studieverenigingen van Nederland. In de Tweede Wereldoorlog stond het verenigingsleven tijdelijk op pauze, maar Helios is altijd blijven bestaan. Het acroniem HELIOS staat sinds jaar en dag voor ‘Historie En Letteren Is Onze Studie’.

Activities

Helios organiseert studiegerelateerde activiteiten, zoals taalcafés, leesclubs en lezingen. Daarnaast organiseert Helios andere activiteiten, denk aan een wekelijkse borrel, een toneelstuk, meerdere feesten, een studiereis en bezoekjes aan talkshows. Ook zijn Helioten gezond en sportief, zo organiseren we gezonde diners en een barbecue en uitjes naar de schaatsbaan en een voetbaltoernooi.

Mission & vision

Bij Helios willen we ervoor zorgen dat studenten Neerlandistiek een extra leuke studietijd hebben. Dit doen we door leuke activiteiten en samenkomsten te organiseren.
