History

The history of Ipso Facto goes back way past the 20 years that we have been operating under the name Ipso Facto. In 2000 our study association as we know it was founded. Over the years we have been able to provide members with the opportunities to build lifelong friendships with fellow students and many memories. We have been present at many bachelor ceremonies, organised loads of lectures with guest speakers and have traveled to Brussels and Bonn and many other places with our members. We started as a small association but over the years, as the number of students grew in Wageningen, so have we and this has brought us to the place we are today.

Activities

Each year we have many different activities, relying on the efforts of our members. Our main events are the annual excursion and congress for educational interests and broadening our horizons. We also organise social activities, pretty much every week. The highlight is our hitch hike weekend competition to a surprise location. Then there is also the charity week, in which a committee raises money through activities and we also organise a gala every year in collaboration with other study associations at the WUR. There is much more, we have activities related to sports, food, alcohol, education, and many more topics every year.

Mission & vision

We are an association by students for students and we have two goals: to facilitate integration among students within the same programme and to represent our members’ interests within the WUR. All in all, Ipso Facto aims to contribute to a memorable time as a students in Wageningen for our members. We have many committees who organise many social and educational activities throughout the year, where all members are warmly welcomed!
