History
IFMSA-NL is opgericht in 1980 en vormt sindsdien het internationaal platform voor medisch studenten met inititiatieven die zich richten op bewustwording en verbetering van global health.
Activities
We organiseren verschillende activiteiten binnen vijf thema’s: seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid en rechten, medisch onderwijs, mensenrechten en vrede, public health en stages. We geven bijvoorbeeld seksuele en relationele vorming lessen op middelbare scholen, werven bloed- en stamceldonoren, organiseren cursussen medische gebarentaal en medisch spaans en organiseren Teddy Bear Hospital, waar kleuters naar het ziekenhuis komen om hun zieke teddyberen beter te maken. Verder werven we jaarlijks een youth delegate, die met het ministerie van VWS en het ministerie van BZ meegaat naar de World Health Assembly.

Visie: IFMSA-NL streeft ernaar medisch geörienteerde studenten te verenigen voor global health en hen de benodigde waarden, kennis en vaardigheden te geven om hieraan bij te dragen binnen de gezondheidssector en de maatschappij. Missie: IFMSA-NL vormt een platform voor medisch georiënteerde studenten in heel Nederland en verenigt hen in lokale, nationale en internationale initiatieven welke impact hebben op de samenleving, persoonlijke groei stimuleren en bijdragen aan de diverse aspecten van global health.
