History
De L.K.V. wordt dit jaar bestuurt voor het 52e jaar. De vereniging was van oorsprong altijd een Nederlandse Kunstgeschiedenis vereniging, maar we zijn trots om te mogen verkondigen dat we sinds drie jaar een tweetalige vereniging zijn. Dit betekent dat we de laatste twee jaar ons focussen op zowel Engelstalige als Nederlandstalige evenementen.
Activities
Verschillende activiteiten die de L.K.V. organiseert zijn: maandelijkse borrels op verschillende locaties in Leiden, drie of vier excursies per maand naar een musea of een andere culturele instelling, een jaarlijks gala met een artistiek thema (bijvoorbeeld Pop-Art of Surrealisme), meerdere reizen per jaar die verschillen in lengte en prijs (bijvoorbeeld naar New York, Kopenhagen, Barcelona etc.), filmavonden, facultaire evenementen zoals een symposium en een Humanities Career Event, ook organiseren we een jaarlijkse boekverkoop. Daarnaast variëren de activiteiten per jaar en per maand zodat er altijd wat wils is. De L.K.V. staat altijd open voor nieuwe ideeën en enthousiastelingen!
Mission & vision
De L.K.V. streeft ernaar om een prettige en fijne leeromgeving te creëren voor de verschillende studenten van de vereniging. Daarnaast proberen we ook onze alumni nog steeds aan te spreken door een variatie aan evenementen. Doordat de L.K.V. een tweetalige vereniging is streven we naar een veilige omgeving waarin iedereen zichzelf kan laten opbloeien. Dit bereiken wij door een uitstraling van inclusiviteit, diversiteit en toegankelijkheid. Onze missie is om zoveel mogelijk mensen een plek te geven binnen onze vereniging om zo een praktische aanvulling te vormen op de kunst-gerelateerde studies.
