Ostbüro is a self-organized community space in Leipzig East that runs entirely on donations and member support. No state funding, no corporate backing, just people keeping a neighborhood anchor alive. It's been a fixture on Riebeckstraße for over three years now. Inside, it's basically your neighborhood living room. There's a knitting group next to the community café, reading circles, readings, and people organizing around local issues. Hundreds of events happen here every year. If you have an idea for something, there's room for it. That's kind of the whole concept: they have the space, you bring the ideas. They also lend out event equipment to neighbors. Music box with mic, a pavilion, beer table sets. For a fair donation, not pro prices.
