The Vibe

Salsa for people who've literally never tried it. September 13, 2019, Dansschool Se Baile Salsa runs a beginners night that's exactly what it sounds like: latin rhythms, first steps, zero pressure. Come alone or drag a friend who's also never done this.

The energy

No pros showing off in the corner. Just people figuring out the basics together. It's Intimate, lowkey, and that's the whole point.

Timing

Doors at 23:00. Come early if you want to actually learn the steps before the room fills up. Or roll in late and fake it. Your call.

Real talk

You will step on someone's foot. Probably your own. Nobody cares. This is a Hidden Gem kind of night, not a performance.

Insider tips

  • Wear shoes you can actually move in. Heels are a trap.
  • Come solo. You'll get paired up anyway, and it's less awkward than it sounds.
  • If you're lost, just watch the person next to you for a count. Works every time.
