History
De vereniging is opgericht op 13-02-2009 door A-KO student Ali Sabrkhany. Hij was daarmee ook de eerste voorzitter van Asklepios.
Activities
Onder het bestuur van AsKlepiOs vallen de educatiecommissie (EducaCie), de activiteitencommissie (AcCie) en de galacommissie (GalaCie). De EducaCie organiseert allerlei educatieve activiteiten zoals een dermatologie lezing of een specialisten speeddate. De AcCie zorgt op hun beurt weer voor de ontspanning dankzij bijvoorbeeld hun VGT-diners die na elke voortgangstoets (VGT) worden gehouden. De GalaCie organiseert het jaarlijkse A-KO gala aan het einde van het collegejaar.
Mission & vision
De missie van Asklepios kan worden geschaald onder drie pijlers. Ten eerste organiseert Asklepios educatie-, carrière- en ontspanningsgerichte activiteiten voor studenten van de masteropleiding Arts-Klinisch Onderzoeker. Ten tweede richt de vereniging zich met haar alumnibestand ook op de carrière en mogelijkheden na de A-KO. Ten slotte is de vereniging ook het aanspreekpunt voor overige zaken waar A-KO studenten mee kampen en probeert de vereniging de studie te vergemakkelijken door praktische handvatten te bieden. De visie van Asklepios is om in de toekomst meer te focussen op het organiseren van nieuwe activiteiten waar studenten aangeven behoefte aan te hebben en daarnaast het contact tussen huidige A-KO studenten en A-KO alumni te versterken en te benutten van beide kanten.
