The Chug Club

The Chug Club is a cocktail bar in the middle of St. Pauli that takes tequila and mezcal very seriously. Their whole thing is "chugs": mini cocktails designed for trying new flavors without committing to a full drink. The concept has picked up some awards, and they made it into the 50 Best Discovery list, so they're clearly doing something right. If you're feeling experimental, they serve a rotating surprise flight of three chugs. Their own words: "Chugs are like Tacos, small but delicious." Beyond that, there's a solid lineup of agave spirits and classic cocktails. It's a smokers' bar, so keep that in mind, and only cigarettes are allowed inside. No reservations here. It's first come, first served, and they can't seat groups larger than eight. Small bar, small drinks, big flavors. Just show up, grab a spot, and go chug yourself.
