Palais is a bar and a club, and it doesn't really try to be anything else. It's right by München Hbf Nord, so you can stumble in without a heroic journey across town. They're open Fridays, Saturdays, and before holidays, which already makes it more reliable than most of your plans. The vibe splits depending on when you show up. Early on, it's the bar: drinks, talking, maybe some flirting, whatever. Later, it turns into the club, and that's when the music takes over. They also do concerts, so it's not just one thing. The space works with the night, not against it. There's a summer special running from June to mid-September: free entry until 3am at their events. That's basically an invitation to show up, grab a drink, and see where the night goes. After that, the regular season kicks in with free entry until midnight.
