Berlin
James June is a beer garden, event location, brunch spot and dart room on Karl-Marx-Allee, and it kind of refuses to pick one lane. In summer the Sommergarten is the move: open Monday to Saturday 15 to 22, Sunday and holidays 13 to 22. When it gets cold, the whole thing turns into Winterland, which has been a tradition since 2020. Eisstockschießen, Glühwein, that whole thing. The building itself has history. This spot was Café Warschau back in the 50s, one of the DDR's best known restaurants, and the current place has been running under the James June name since 2013. Right now it's mid glow-up: the building is being renovated in line with heritage rules, and 2026 brings a new chapter with a brunch location, event space, dart room and a redesigned garden. Historical architecture, modern design, no big deal. Food wise there's a menu with stuff like a classic burger with cheese, bacon and fried egg, plus homemade waffles at brunch. There's a Getränkekarte, a Speisekarte, and a dart room…
