Good Beans started in 2018 when two very different dudes walked into a quirky little shop down a narrow Amsterdam alley and never really left. One blunt Norwegian who’s all about numbers, one chatty American winging it. The stained-glass windows and checkerboard floor did the rest. It became a humble specialty bean shop with a couch and a couple stools, built for slow chats and long sips. Then they got bored and launched their own brand: Fucking Strong Coffee. The whole point was calling bullshit on pretentious specialty coffee culture. No fine-wine energy, no self-important vibes. Just coffee, not caviar. They went straight to the source, visiting a cooperative in Rwanda, and built the brand around traceable supply chains and smallholder farmers instead of hype. The shop is still the heart of it, tucked between the canals. You can drop by for a brew, grab ethically-sourced beans roasted fresh in small batches, or just sit and exist for a while.
