BUUR West calls itself the living room of Nijmegen, and honestly, that's pretty accurate. It's a neighborhood spot where eating, drinking, and community stuff just sort of blend together. You can hit up their spots in Waterkwartier or Brakkenstein for drinks and food, or catch them out and about with BUUR on Tour, a mobile community hangout that moves between neighborhoods. The agenda is packed with low-key activities: pub quizzes every third Thursday, summer games in the park, speed dating if you're over dating apps, even trap bike lessons to loosen up your muscles. Most of it is free and open to anyone, young or old. What makes it worth a visit is that it's not trying to be anything fancy.
