Brouwerij 't IJ is basically an Amsterdam institution, and not just because the beers are good. It's a working brewery with a windmill, which already puts it ahead of most places you could grab a drink. The vibe is simple: live with your head up, get a good glass of beer, and don't overthink it. You can visit one of their tasting rooms, like Proeflokaal de Molen right under the windmill, or Café Struis and 't Blauwe Theehuis in the Vondelpark. They also do brewery tours and tastings for groups, so if you're looking to make a day of it, that's an option. And if you're into merch, the IJshop has the classics: trui, pet, opener, sokken.
