Broei is a plant-based restaurant on the Oosterkade in Utrecht, right along the Vaartsche Rijn. It started as a coffee spot with cinnamon buns and a daily special, and over 10 years it grew into a full restaurant. The vibe is chill, the interior is cozy, and there's a terrace by the water if you'd rather sit outside. Everything is 100% plant-based and almost all made in-house. The menu changes every eight weeks with seasonal dishes, and you can go for a 4 or 5 course menu if you're feeling fancy. Chef Niels and the kitchen team put real care into it, and they'll adjust for allergies or diets if you let them know 24 hours ahead. Open daily from 9:00 to 23:00, so it works for breakfast, lunch, drinks, or dinner. There are even tables with power if you need to get some work done, which is lowkey a lifesaver.
