Brasserie De Roode Leeuw has been the spot in Zuid-Scharwoude for over 400 years. Started as an inn where travelers crashed for the night, now it's a full event venue that kept all its character. The building still feels historic, but the setup is properly modern. Three rooms, three different vibes. De Brouwkamer is the small one, good for intimate dinners or a casual borrel with up to 50 people. Het Voorcafé sits in the middle, 60 to 250 people, and works for private dining or birthday parties. Then there's Het Danscafé, the big one. 500 people, weddings, company parties, the whole thing. Owners Mark and Pascal took over in 2016 and they're always around. Personal approach, they'll actually think along with you instead of just taking your booking. The place is also home base for the local dart and kolf clubs, so it's got that community thing going on.
