Bal Chavaux is a new concert venue in Montreuil, just outside Paris. It’s tucked into a former cinema, which already gives it way more personality than your standard black box club. The space leans into that history, so it feels less like a sterile room and more like somewhere with a story. The programming is mostly electronic music, with club nights running late into the morning. There are also earlier shows, like the Purple Stardust gig, so it’s not only a 2am thing. You can catch a release party, a queer circus night, or just roll up for whatever’s on the calendar. The lineup is varied enough that you’ll probably find at least one night that fits your vibe. Worth a visit because it’s new, it’s local, and it’s clearly trying to build something beyond just another ticketed event.
