Down in the basement of the Fontane Haus in Reinickendorf, there's a saloon that's been doing its thing since 2001. Berlin's biggest little spot for US food, country music and C&W dancing. No 8-hour flight to America required. What goes on: live music every weekend, the best bands from Berlin plus acts from abroad, DJs spinning country hits on the dancefloor, and line dance courses if you've never danced a step in your life (beginners welcome, no experience needed). Wednesday and Thursday are the class nights, Friday and Saturday it's music till midnight. The food is real American: burgers in many variations, spare ribs, spicy chicken wings, salads. Portions that actually earn their price. There's even a currywurst called Little Big Horn, because Berlin. And you can rent your own tap table, a 15-liter barrel for 95 euros or 30 liters for 180, and pour your own with friends.
