The Alte Utting is a retired ship that now sits on a bridge in Munich. It's not trying to be anything else. You go up, you get a drink, you stand on deck and look at the city. That's the whole thing, and it works. Inside it's a bit of a maze. There's a pizzeria, an African kitchen, a crêpe stand, and a proper Austrian spot called Donnerwirt. All cashless, so don't bother bringing coins. The hours are all over the place depending on which stand you want, so check before you commit to a specific craving. There's also an Eisstockbahn, which is basically Bavarian curling, and a regular culture program with artists and bands. If you're coming with 8 or more people, you can reserve. The place has history too, they have a whole section on it if you're into that. It's not polished. It's a boat on a bridge with decent food and a weird layout. That's exactly why people keep coming back.
