History
Unitas Studiosorum Amstelodamensium (U.S.A.) is opgericht in 1911 als een studentengezelligheidsvereniging met de basisprincipes gelijkwaardigheid en betaalbaarheid. De vereniging werd een ontmoetingsplaats voor studenten uit allerlei studies en milieus die niet alleen wilden feesten, maar zich ook wilden ontplooien. Nog steeds vormen deze principes in combinatie met tradities opgebouwd in de afgelopen 108 jaar, het hedendaagse karakter van Unitas.
Activities
Naast de borrels organiseert Unitas door het jaar heen nog vele andere activiteiten. Zo is er het jaarlijkse hockeytoernooi, het gala, de uitvoering van de TUSA ( de toneelafdeling van Unitas), om nog maar te zwijgen over het lustrum dat iedere 5 jaar plaatsvindt. Daarnaast organiseren de colleges zelf ook nog veel activiteiten zoals bijvoorbeeld een wintersport, een zeilweekend, varen op de grachten met koningsdag etc.
Mission & vision
Unitas is een traditionele gezelligheidsvereniging die openstaat voor alle studenten. Echter willen wij ook op maatschappelijk gebied ons steentje bijdragen. Ieder jaar wordt er gecollecteerd voor het Beatrix spierfonds, organiseert Unitas een Sinterklaasmiddag voor kinderen waarvan de ouders het niet al te breed hebben en gaan we op bezoek bij ouderen in een bejaardentehuis.
