Sococo Coffee
Sococo is a coffee bar in Rotterdam that takes its beans way more seriously than your average spot. They work directly with farmers in Guatemala and Uganda, no middlemen, no blends, just single origin specialty coffee that scores 86+ with the SCA. That's a fancy way of saying the coffee is genuinely good. The vibe here is simple: fair chain, honest price, better product. Over half of what you pay stays in the country of origin, and they're open about the fact that their coffee costs a bit more. They'd rather be transparent than pretend otherwise. It's not just about the drink though. Sococo also runs learning and work trajectories for people who could use a second chance, so your caffeine fix actually does something. The space itself is straightforward, no fuss, just a place to get a proper cup and maybe sit with it for a while. If you care about where your coffee comes from and want to taste the difference, this is worth a visit. If you don't, the coffee still slaps. Either way.
