Shanghai
Shanghai-Den Haag Wateringseveld is a Chinese restaurant that doesn't try to be anything it's not. The name alone tells you exactly what you're getting: real Chinese food, the way Chinese people actually eat it. No fusion experiments, no westernized twists. Just straightforward, honest cooking. The menu covers all the bases. You've got your a la carte options, a dedicated dim sum all-you-can-eat deal, and monthly specials that rotate. They also do delivery and takeout if you can't be bothered to leave the house, which is honestly half the appeal. You can order online and pay with iDEAL, so no awkward cash situations at the door. What makes this place worth your time is the lack of pretense. It's a neighborhood spot that knows exactly what it is and does it well. The monthly menu keeps things interesting without overcomplicating it. If you want solid Chinese food without the fuss, this is it.
