Hammiehoeve

Hammiehoeve is a former factory site turned into a place where you can actually slow down. It started in 2019 when the property changed hands, and since then it’s grown into a mix of a farm shop, guesthouse, camper field, and meeting spot. The vibe is pretty straightforward: eggs, coffee, and some space to breathe. You can grab eggs from the small shop or the 24/7 vending machine, let the kids feed the chickens or the pig, and let them loose in the playground with a treehouse, sandbox, trampoline, and slide while you sip a coffee. Since 2020, it’s also a registered Rustpunt, so walkers and cyclists can stop by for a drink or refill their water bottle. The camper field is the only one in Enschede, with 15 spots, power, wifi, heated bathrooms, and a dump station. It’s a 30-minute walk from the center, which is decent. There’s also a renovated barn from the early 1900s that used to be a bicycle factory and brickworks. Now it holds a meeting room, the shop, and two guestrooms. Worth a visi…
