Musicon

Musicon started in the nineties because two friends, Cesar Zuiderwijk from Golden Earring and Alejandro Milberg, wanted a place for rehearsal spaces, pop music lessons, and a stage. That idea grew into what they now call the inclusive allround pop music center of Den Haag. It’s not just one thing: there are oefenruimtes, a music school, workshop spaces, party rooms, and a cozy music café with specialty beer. The vibe is basically holy ground for Hague music. Over 400 bands hit the stage every year, pulling in more than 15,000 concert visitors. But it’s not only about the big shows. Musicon is heavy into cultuureducatie and talent development, with award-winning programs for all ages. Young talent, rising pros, and icons all end up in the same building, which says a lot about the place. If you’re in the area, the café alone is worth it.
