Fettschmelze is a former fat-rendering plant turned into a club, pizzeria, and coworking space in Karlsruhe. The name makes more sense when you learn they now only melt cheese there. Midweek, it's all about pizza and drinks, no frills, just Amore. Wednesdays they even deliver pizza to the Gottesauer Eck. On weekends, the place flips into a club. International DJs like Roman Flügel, Konstantin Sibold, and Lena Willikens have played there. It's known for big names in a small, intimate space, where the line between artist and crowd gets blurry. The vibe is less "prestigious venue," more "old tiled hall with a proper sound system." The history is a mess of DIY energy: a group of five people found the building in 2012, renovated it themselves, and turned it into a hub for parties, dinners, and creative work.
