Donauinselfest is basically Vienna's biggest free open air festival, and it takes over the entire Danube Island for three days in June. No ticket, no gate, just walk on and find your spot. The whole island turns into one massive festival ground with multiple stages, so you can wander between sets or just post up somewhere with a drink and people watch. It's not just music either. There's a whole mix of stuff happening across the island, from food stalls to chill zones to random activities. You can make it as intense or as laid back as you want, which is honestly the best part.
