History
A.s.v. ZHTC is op 21 november 1952 opgericht als vereniging voor studenten van de MTS Zwolle onder de naam ZMTV. Toen de MTS in 1957 werd hernoemd tot HTS kreeg de vereniging haar huidige naam: Het ZHTC. Op 4 oktober 1963 werd de eerste ZHTC-sociëteit geopend op de bovenverdieping van “De Harmonie” aan de Grote Markt. Na nog vier keer verhuizen bevindt de huidige sociëteit zich sinds 1998 aan de Thomas à Kempisstraat net buiten de binnenstad van Zwolle. De HTS is tegenwoordig onderdeel van Hogeschool Windesheim en ZHTC is niet langer een technische vereniging, maar een algemene vereniging voor alle Zwolse HBO-studenten.
Activities
De ZHTC sociëteit is elke donderdag- en vrijdagavond geopend voor leden. Commissies en disputen organiseren regelmatig themafeesten zodat er elke maand wat nieuws te beleven is. Naast deze feesten organiseert ZHTC elk jaar de Highlandgames, de eindweek (met bierkrattenzwembad in de achtertuin) en de bierweek – het oudste speciaalbierfestival van de Benelux.

De missie van ZHTC is om vriendschappen te vormen en te versterken, om studenten de mogelijkheid te bieden om zich te ontspannen en om zich te ontwikkelen naast hun studie. Bij ZHTC is iedereen welkom! Door de grote verschillen tussen mensen vindt iedereen binnen de kortste tijd zijn of haar plekje binnen de vereniging.
