History
A.S.V. Prometheus is opgericht in 1991.
Activities
Prometheus is een culturele gezelligheidsvereniging die groeit en bloeit. Elke woensdag beginnen we met een interessante lezing over de meest uiteenlopende onderwerpen door een breed scala aan sprekers. Van juridici die vertellen over Brexit tot een brandweerman die vertelt over zijn beroep. Van medewerkers van azielzoekerscentra tot Herman Koch over het schrijversvak. Zowel leden als niet-leden zijn welkom op deze avonden. Na een lezing is er ook altijd een gezellige borrel om nieuwe vrienden te maken. Daarnaast organiseren we op dinsdagavond en in het weekend andere culturele activiteiten, zoals workshops, discussieavonden en uitstapjes naar musea en theaters. Uitjes zoals een strand- of boswandeling of een avondje lasergamen kom je óók tegen op het programma. Verder is er een jaarlijkse buitenlandreis en meerdere weekendjes weg. Gilden vormen een belangrijk onderdeel van Prometheus: gilden zijn kleinere groepjes binnen de vereniging rondom een bepaalde interesse. Zo is er bijvoorbeeld een Moeilijkeboekengilde, een Pridegilde, een Tekengilde en nog veel meer! Je kunt bij zo veel gilden lid worden als je wilt, of, als je een nieuw leuk idee hebt voor een gilde, er gemakkelijk zelf één oprichten.

Door ons brede programma is Prometheus dé plek waar student en cultuur samenkomen. Wij zijn een kleinschalige vereniging waar iedereen elkaar kent en iedereen welkom is. Dus wacht niet langer en ontdek en ontwikkel jouw interesses bij Prometheus!
