Voorstraat 46, Utrecht, Netherlands
The Village Coffee & Music is exactly what it sounds like: coffee, music, and a vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The main spot on Voorstraat 46 is basically the living room of Utrecht. You grab a drink, sink into a couch, flip through a newspaper, and maybe take a bag of Outsider or Renegade beans home with you. It's lowkey the perfect hang. There's also a second location on Voorstraat 44, open Friday through Sunday, where they do coffee and pastries with a side of music. And if you're around the Science Park, the Johanna Complex spot has comfy workspaces, wifi, and some random curiosities to stare at when you need a break from studying. They even have a stuffed orca skeleton, which is not something you see every day. They roast their own specialty coffee in-house, on a machine from 1955, which is cool if you're into that kind of thing. No need to overthink it. Just show up, order something, and let the place do its thing.
