Schot Coffee Roasters lives in the Diepeveen building, a 1929 Rotterdam landmark with a 30-meter tower that used to be an advertising column. The space has been a hardware warehouse, a tannery, and a youth disco over the years. In 2022 it got redeveloped while keeping that raw, industrial look, and now it shares the building with pottery artists, a bookshop, a gallery, and a wood workshop. So the vibe is already there before you even order. The coffee is the main event. They roast small batches weekly on a Giesen W15, buying beans directly from farmers and paying premium prices so growers can invest in their plantations. They focus on washed, honey, and natural coffees, looking for layered and clean flavors. No co-fermented or infused stuff, and only a limited amount of anaerobic options.
