Kanaalweg 30, Utrecht, Netherlands
Café Keet is basically the living room of Kanaal30, a spot in Utrecht where you can actually slow down for a sec. Coffee, homemade sweets, lunch, and yes, even a bitterbal with your borrel if you're closing out the day. They've got a sunny terrace that's actually spacious, so you're not fighting for elbow room. The vibe is simple: sit at the bar, read your paper, chat if you feel like it. No pressure either way. Sundays are for live music and a beer, which is a pretty solid way to end the weekend if you ask me. The name comes from the old polder workers' huts along the Merwedekanaal, where a "keetvrouw" ran the place and things got properly gezellig in the evenings. That energy kind of lives on here. Free parking, open from 9 to 6 on weekdays, closed Saturdays, and Sundays from 1 PM. Just come as you are.
