Somerset House is one of those places in London that somehow does everything. It's a working arts centre, a massive creative community, and a historic site all at once. The buildings are proper neoclassical, Georgian-era stuff, but inside it's packed with creative startups, artists, and makers doing their thing. The whole vibe is less "look at this old building" and more "come see what's being made here right now." You can basically spend a whole day here without running out of stuff to look at. There are exhibitions, events, and a rotating programme of stuff that's always changing. The Courtauld Gallery is on site too, which is a solid bonus if you're into art. And since it's open from 8am to 11pm, you can swing by early or make it a late thing. There's food and drink on site as well, so you don't have to leave when you get hungry.
