In 2019, the old Studio 672 became JAKI. As part of Stadtgarten, European Center for Jazz and Contemporary Music, the club hosts concerts as well as club nights - the latter with a strong focus on showcasing a very wide range of contemporary electronic music. It aims to be an open space for discovery and experiments. Members of the club participate in the "safer nightlife" work-group by Klubkomm Cologne. The center has been run by Initiative Kölner Jazz Haus e.V. since its founding in 1984.
