History
Ganymedes is opgericht op 18 december 2008 en is daarmee de oudste LGBTQ+-studentenvereniging van Nederland! In de relatief korte periode dat Ganymedes bestaat, is zij uitgegroeid tot een bekende naam in Groningen. Zij werkt jaarlijks veel samen met andere studentenverenigingen en allerlei andere organisaties.
Activities
Ganymedes organiseert wekelijks middels haar commissies zowel gezelligheidsactiviteiten als maatschappelijke activiteiten. Onder gezelligheidsactiviteiten vallen bijvoorbeeld onze grote themafeesten, maar ook activiteiten zoals poolen of bowlen. Op maatschappelijk vlak organiseren wij bijvoorbeeld discussie- en filmavonden en lezingen. Naast deze activiteiten, organiseren wij regelmatig evenementen in samenwerking met andere (studenten)organisaties.
Mission & vision
Ganymedes zet zich in voor de LGBTQ+-student in Groningen. Wij willen een plek bieden voor deze groep en daarom organiseren wij laagdrempelige borrels, feesten en activiteiten. Daarnaast is ons doel om acceptatie en gelijkheid voor deze groep te verbeteren. Dit bereiken wij door zichtbaar te blijven in de stad en door regelmatig in gesprek te gaan met diverse instanties, (studenten)organisaties en overige geïnteresseerden over actuele LGBTQ+-onderwerpen.
