Tokyo Tea Room
Tokyo Tea Rooms is a boutique late night cocktail bar in Canterbury, and honestly, the whole concept is kind of beautiful. They live by the Japanese phrase "Ichi-go Ichi-e," which loosely means "one time, one meeting." Basically, no two nights here will ever be the same, and they take that pretty seriously. The space leans into a fresh, elegant aesthetic with a few surprises thrown in, so it never feels like a standard bar. The cocktail menu is always evolving, and they mix in immersive live performances that keep things interesting. You're not just grabbing a drink, you're getting a whole vibe that shifts every time you walk in. If you're after a night out that doesn't feel copy-paste, this is it. No two days are the same, and apparently no two nights here are either. Worth checking out if you're in Canterbury and want something a little less predictable.
