Hafenklang Hamburg

Hafenklang sits right on the Elbe in Hamburg and it's been doing its thing for 30 years now. Not a polished venue, not trying to be. Just a solid spot for concerts, parties, readings, and the occasional flea market, depending on the night. The program is all over the place in the best way. Indie, punk, metal, DJ sets, a party series called Against Perfection, stuff in the Goldener Salon upstairs. Some nights it's a Brazilian band, some nights it's a reading, some nights it's just people dancing. You check the schedule, you pick your night. They also sell a soli T-shirt with PISSE on it, and half the money goes to CADUS for humanitarian aid. So you can support the venue and a good cause at the same time. Not a bad deal. Worth a visit if you want a night out that doesn't feel like every other club in the city. It's been around this long for a reason.
