Giovanni De Feo

Giovanni De Feo is a writer based in Berlin, but his work pulls from somewhere much older and stranger. He writes novels, short stories, and graphic novels rooted in folklore, his own life, and his family. He's also a traditional storyteller, which honestly tracks. The guy isn't just putting words on a page, he's performing them. His upcoming book, The Secret Market of the Dead, drops July 8, 2025. It's a gothic historical fantasy inspired by Italian folklore. The setup: a young woman blacksmith gets pulled into the fiefdom of the Night while competing with her brother to inherit the forge. Already sounds like a vibe. Early praise calls it atmospheric, spooky, and thoughtful, which is basically the trifecta for this kind of thing. If you're into folklore, dark fantasy, or just want to support someone who clearly takes the craft seriously without being boring about it, this is worth your time. No events, no drinks, no games. Just a writer doing interesting work. That's the whole pitch.
