Cascadas is a centrally located club in Hamburg-City that only opens when there's something going on. No regular bar nights, no empty dance floors. If there's no event listed, it's either closed or booked for a private party. That's it. The program is all over the place in the best way. Tuesday nights are Caribbean Night, where DJ Miguel and special guests spin salsa and bachata from 8pm until 1am. Beginners and pros both get something out of it. Then you've got the "Live in the City" concert series bringing everything from pop-funk to indie rock to Swedish guitar music. There are also Sing Along events where lyrics get projected on a big screen and you just scream 90s hits or ABBA songs with a room full of strangers. No microphone needed. Beyond that, there's a monthly LGBTQ+ afterwork party called Les Beats, dating events like Matching Night, poetry and hip-hop nights, and parties ranging from 80s new wave to boogie funk to electro disco.
