Branderij Luijendijk started because someone got tired of not being able to find actually fresh coffee. Redmar began roasting at home, friends and family got hooked, and by 2017 it turned into a full-time thing. Now there's a proper roastery in Schiedam, and the whole vibe is still built around that original obsession: getting coffee as fresh as physically possible. It's not just about the beans though. The people behind it care a lot about where the coffee comes from and who's growing it. They're big on working with partners in the supply chain in a way that goes beyond just having a certificate on the wall. The idea is that if everyone in the chain gets a fair shot, the coffee gets better for everyone. That's the whole point.
